After completing a Master's degree in Economics in 1994, Francesco has kept himself busy starting up and leading a variety of businesses, always in role of founder, executive, product strategist, and software developer, and always combining management and programming activities.
Francesco has always found a way to unite his passions: effective production, Software System growth, and innovation. In the 1980s, Francesco created the Pomodoro Technique, a time management technique that is now known around the world. In the 1990s, he became known as an expert mentor of Object-Oriented Software Engineering. By the end of the 90s, Francesco had established his reputation as one of the pioneers of XP development and Agile Methods. Then, in 2007, he began promoting his Anti-IF Campaign.
In 2000, Francesco founded and directed XPLabs and is currently the director of the Anti-IF School and Software Production Institute.
Over the years, Francesco has successfully trained and mentored hundreds of managers and developers throughout Europe on issues of productivity and the evolution of software.
Francesco is currently living in Berlin and working full-time in his FC Garage, developing new, simple and effective techniques to improve personal and team productivity.
